    Implementation of a complete dedicated flow in the SOFiE client for better management of all CSSF reports using the S3 protocol.
    Reports using S3 already handled will remain available via the historical flow, in addition to being considered in the new dedicated flow.
    This new feed will be available from the following 2 channels, depending on your choice:

    • ATLAS (GUI mode)
    • SOFiE (batch mode only)

    A full description of this new feed will be provided in a forthcoming communication.

    CSSF EACIND Report
    As a reminder you can use SOFiE Sort to transmit the new XBRL EACIND report to the CSSF using its new S3 system. We are available to assist you in the implementation of this service (reporting@cetrel-securities.lu).

  • This update concerns an alignment of available tables for COFREP reports as well as of available values of field "Accounting version" with the CSSF naming convention.

    You will find all information in the Reporting Handbook and in the latest version of the CSSF naming convention.

  • 1. BCL - New table S1.5 layout 4:

    Please take note of the circular letter ST.22-0449 of the BCL regarding the introduction of the new table S1.5 layout 4 from the reporting referring to December 2022. 

    The related documents can be consulted on the BCL website: S 1.5 "Information on interest rates in EUR".

     

    The TEST channel will be available with the BCL as of November 16 (using the TEST Context in your SOFiE client).

    Please note that this is a TEST channel and S1.5 layout 4 can only be sent in PRODUCTION mode from January 1, 2023.

     

    2. CSSF - EBA V3.2 taxonomies           

    Please take note of the implementation of the new naming conventions concerning the reports for credit institutions using the naming convention "COFREP".

    You will find this information in the Reporting Handbook and the latest version of the CSSF naming convention.

  • This update will be available only for the SOFiE Sort version 6.05.03 and concerns an update for AnaCredit reports for BCL.

    New schema SDMX v1.0.7 for AnaCredit

    Linked to the circular-letter form BCL new XSD v1.0.7 will be mandatory for AnaCredit as of September 25, 2022. The old XSD is no longer valid as of this date.

    (Re)submissions of reports for past periods will have to respect this new version of the XSD for any submission from September 25, 2022.

  • The changes to the FATCA editor are a follow-up to the newsletter published by the "Administration des Contributions Directes",  (Direct Tax Administration), aka ACD  on April 7th, 2022: "https://impotsdirects.public.lu/fr/archive/newsletter/2022/nl07042022.html".

  • This version includes an update concerning the V160-F files (CDDP6 report) sent to the BCL (Banque Centrale du Luxembourg).

  • Update of the postal address, e-mail address and phone number of the Sofie helpdesk following the Worldline rebranding.

  • Correction of the nomenclature of OTHREP and OTXREP files. The character 'dot', for example, is now supported in the free part of the file name.

    In addition, the Sofie client now uses a third level in the version number.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause the Sofie client to crash on very rare occasions.

  • The SOFiE client uses version 2.17.1 of the log4j library. It fixes important security flaws discovered at the end of 2021.

  • We are pleased to inform you about the new SOFiE Sort update dated 26th October, 2021.

    This update will be available only for the SOFiE Sort version 6.03 and concerns new reports for BCL and CSSF.

    BCL has not yet communicated a revocation date for the old XSD.

     

    3-      New schema SDMX v1.0.6 for AnaCredit

    New XSD v1.0.6 will be mandatory for AnaCredit as of January 25, 2022. The old XSD is no longer valid as of this date.

     

    4-      New CSSF Circular-CODERES 21/13

    Changes in CSSF-CODERES Circular 21/13 result in a new OTHREP-BNNNN-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX_LU_SRF070002_EACIND_2022-01-31_yyyymmddhhmmssnnnn report that will be included in the existing SOFiE ESPT package.

     

     

    As we already mentioned in our previous communications, all these changes will only be available on SOFiE 6 series.

    It is therefore imperative that you update to the latest version of the 6 series. As a reminder, it is not possible to switch from version 5 to version 6 automatically.

  • On July 5th, 2021, a new version of the CRS v2 report editor was released. An error in the creation of "Zero reporting" reports has been corrected and a simplified user guide describing the creation of such a report has been published in the "Support / Documentation" section.

  • On June 29th 2021, a new version of the FATCA v3 report editor was released. The values 222222222 to 777777777 are now accepted to inform why a TIN is not filled in. Please refer to the FATCA documentation on the ACD’s website for more information.

  • On April 7th, 2021, a new and improved version was put online. It concerns an update of the COFREP report naming convention and the new accepted tables (SFRTBX, CFRTBX, CGSIIX, MRDECI, SMRTLA, CMRTLA) as well as the support of version 1.0.5 of the Anacredit report validation XSD, which comes into force on 1 July 2021 and replaces version 1.0.4.

  • On 15 February 2021, a bugfix regarding the sending of SGOREP reports was made available. It is labelled "V6.02 (2021-02-15)".

  • New features for SOFiE-Business customers:

    • Support of a new file type (SECU) for the “Centre Commun de la Sécurité Sociale” (CCSS). The CCSS will communicate more information on this subject directly to its affiliates at a later date.
    • Various minor corrections

  • On October 14, 2020, two new versions of the SOFiE client were made available, "5.26" and "6.01". These two versions contain the same functionalities and differ only in the Java Runtime used.   • On June 19, 2019, version "5.23" of the SOFiE client was made available.

    There are only a few minor changes.

    The binary "wget.exe" has been updated.

    The screen that displays error messages when a file does not validate via the GUI now contains the Sofie version number and the connected SOFiE identifier.

    It incorporates the latest amendments made to the previous version, "5.22", on March 28th and May 14th.

    The agreement naming the reports sent by the financial institutions to the BCL, and to the CSSF in copy, has been updated.

    Entities of type "P" can now send all S* and TPTB* reports, such as S0001, S0213, TPTBBL, TPTBBN.

    - For FATCA documents, the impossibility to load the TIN field with 9 zeros for cases where a Tax Identification Number (TIN) could not be obtained. The Tax Administration now only accepts 9 capital letters "A" or code "#NTA001#".

    - A mandatory update of the SOFIE client before December 1, 2018 to align with the latest security recommendations.

  • SOFiE-SORT: Two new values (X and T) have been added to the list of possible values for the "final version" field in the file name of COF reports.

    A new BCL report is supported: SHSGRP.

  • SOFiE-SORT: New table names added to COF reporting.

    - ANA Credit report: validation pattern for the agent code has been set to ^[A-Z]+[A-Z0-9]+$

    - Files are process in alphabetical order when processed in batch mode.

  • SOFiE-SORT-Crypt users may save the active user certificate to a flat file. This should simplify things when sending the certificate to the CSSF.

    This update mainly includes taking into account the editor level and the reports of the new common norms for declaration (NCD or CRS, Common Reporting Standard) from Administration des Contributions Directes.

    It also includes the notion of alternative investment fund managers (type A) at the level of the fund reports (S0103 and S0213).

    If your SOFiE application is configured to be updated automatically during the setup. As of the afternoon of 29th march 2017, your SOFiE login screen, main window, and the “Help – About” menu should display “V5.17 20170329”. Otherwise a manual update will be necessary (see the manual for more details).

    This update is optional but recommended in the frame and context of this new norm.

    • FATCA version 2 editor has been updated
    • New reports supported towards CAA (RSO, FRI, RNx). Please contact Cetrel-Securities for more information.

    • Fix of a bug. In some cases, SOFiE worked fine but wouldn’t write any log file.

  • Because of a bug, when trying to send an erroneous file , the error messages were not shown in the popup window when using the GUI and were not written to the log file. The bug has been fixed.

  • The encryption parameters for the U1.1 reports were updated. Only the customers sending these files (name: U11REP) have to update their SOFiE client installation.

    • The following category codes are now accepted for a GIIN code : LE, SL, ME, BR, SP, SF, SD, SS and SB.
    • A US formatted TIN has to be a sequence of nine numbers only. The value ‘000000000’ is accepted to indicate an unknown TIN.
